Oh my god… Don’t know where to start..

First of all,the Mac OS part of Spotifinder should REALLY be a Menu-bar app, and NOT an app with a dock icon. Partly to conserve dock space and mainly because people who are going to use Spotifinder will probably have Spotifinder running on their machines at all time. (For now, I took care of that with Dockless.app)

Secondly, why does the Spotify main window in Mac OS appear whenever you pick a song from your iPhone?

Thirdly, what the control buttons really do is nothing more than focusing the Spotify application in Mac OS to send various keyboard shortcuts, the fact that the contextual menu pops up every time you tap a button proves it, and it’s kind of shabby.. This tends to get REALLY annoying when someone uses the computer while another person is controlling Spotify.

Furthermore, Spotifinder loses connection with Mac OS every time iPhone goes into sleep mode, which is fair since iphone turns off Wifi after going into sleep mode, but Spotifinder SHOULD be able to reconnect to Mac OS when Wifi gets reactivated after you unlock your iPhone. As of now, you have to restart the app every time you unlock your iPhone.

Lastly, What is “Active Mode”?

Hi again!

Double-clicking or tapping an item absolutely should render playback on Spotify in your Mac.

We will make a demo movie of this, but I have used it quite a lot during the development process and once it’s connected it just works. Please describe closer exactly which steps you take with the software and what happens.

Another thing I noticed; do not attempt to interrupt the search process; if you do, the iPhone app needs to be restarted and re-connected. Assuming you have a quite fast internet connection the delay should hardly be noticable.

Hi Olle! We’re checking this right now, it appears Spotify’s server is “lazy” at times. Just wait for the reply in the iPhone app and a list of 100 entries should be presented. It might be a slight delay of say 2-3 seconds before the list is presented in the app.

The search string looks for tracks and artists.

It’s a potential update feature to be able to enter defined search strings like “artist: kiss”, but that is not implemented right now. Just enter “kiss” and you should find the band Kiss.

Hi there,
Just bought the Spotifinder app, hoping that it will solve my need for a Spotify remote. I have a couple of question though:
1. How does “Search Find” work? I can search and I get a list of songs. Then what? Am I suppose to tap on an item to play it in Spotify? That does not work for me
2. What will happend if I have two Macs at home, both with Spotify. Witch one will be controlled trough my iPhone? Do I need to de-activate the System Preference setting?

@patrick Aha, ok! Ja, jag väntar med stor spänning på att Spotfinder ska släppas.. Vet ni ungefär när ni kommer släppa den? Handlar det om dagar eller om veckor? Mvh, Shap.
